NOTHING MUCH

Well today I have been very busy catching up on the housework. I just had loads to do. The bathroom, changing the kids bedding, hoovering upstairs, then I had to do my ironing. I am sure the pile grows over night when i'm in bed - it just seemed so never ending today.

Tonight was parents evening at school for both my kids and what can I say - glowing reports again!!! Well behaved, polite, hard working, caring - both of them a pleasure to teach. So I think a treat will be in store for them this weekend.

And finally - managed to get this card made tonight. I waited till the eldest had gone to bed before i finally got my stuff out.

It's based on the same card I did the other night but this time I ran a verse off the computer. It says:-

Good friends are like stars...
You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

I will wait until tomorrow to do the insert for this one - as I am falling asleep sat here.

So nite nite and thank you for visiting x

TONIGHTS CARDS

Got my craft stuff out again tonight, as hubby was making Millionaire shortcake with the kids. Have to say, just had a bit and it was YUMMY!!!!

The first card is near enough the same as the one from the other day - same style just different paper and image. Very simple to do and quick (the way i like them).

Well here is another 'mans' card - thought I better make another to go with the star one from today. I created the tie and stuck some patterned paper on it, then layered it. The paper is once again from the Dovecraft Masculine pack.

AND here is a shot of my crafting space - I did take it today but never got round to loading the piccy. Have to say this is quite tidy for me and it only shows you a third of my table. The storage boxes are from Woolworths and they are great little things.

MAN, BOY - WHO'S IT FOR

I don't do mens cards - I find them so hard to do, but i think I made one this morning.

The stars on this card were created on the computer and then I cut them all out and added the spotty paper to one of them. Then stuck them all together and added a Quickutz button to the centre tied with a little bit of thread.

It's just nice being able to have a play and not have the kids asking what that is for, can I play with that - when they know the answer is DONT TOUCH A THING.

The paper is the Masculine Dovecraft paper pack that I got the other day.

I HAVE WON

I just can't believe it!

I have just been onto http://crafts-beautiful.com and this card has won the late January competition.

Kate said:- very simple and elegant, and suits the picture perfectly - anyone would be delighted to receive it on a special anniversary.

I am so chuffed to bits - its not often that I enter competitions, so it was a bolt from the blue. The other entries were amazing and it must have been a hard decision for kate to choose a winner.

ONLY HAVING A PLAY

Just had a little play about this morning with these two cards. I know they arent the best in the world. But as I say, I was having a little play.

The ADORE bit and flourish were printed off on my computer - and the paper is from Papermania???

This one I used the same coloured card to make up all the bits, but somehow the blue is darker than the actual card base (its the same card as I cut up another one to do the bits). Scratching my head over this one!!!

Used my quickutz dies and sizzix, for the bits.

I better get going as I have the table (my crafty space) to clear up and get started on dinner. Catch you all later x

WHERE HAS THE WEEKEND GONE

It has been a looooooong weekend here.

My youngest has not been right since she came home from school on Friday. She has been running a high temp all weekend and she has had one of those really tickly coughs that nothing will shift. The little soul was so determined to go school this morning that I let her go. I did let her teacher know and to ring me if she started again with the temperature.

OH AND I HAVE BEEN TAGGED - by the lovely Silvercustard over on http://silvercustard.blogspot.com.

I have to share 7 things about myself on here, then tag 7 people at the end of my post. You also have to include links to their blogs and leave a message on their blogs to know they have been tagged.

FRIEND CARD

Thought I would post this card before I go to bed. I have just finished it plus another one, but i'm not happy with it. So tomorrow I may make a few changes or it goes in the bin.

So thanks for visiting - see ya all tomorrow x

JUST A COUPLE OF CARDS

Got all my stuff out tonight to have a play about and came up with these 2 cards. I dont think they are too bad as I sat for a good half hour deciding what to do.

I will put these with the other cards that my friend is going to take to work and any money raised from the sale of the cards are going to Ellies Trust. SO I HOPE THEY ALL SELL!

I havent finished yet. Might as well get some more cards made when everything is strewn across the dining table and its only 9.20 at night. Both the kids are in bed and hubby is at work - so its lovely and quiet.

NO BIG MONEY WIN

Well thats what happened last night. In the end there were 6 of us who went to bingo and we had a great fun time. My best bud linda was the only winner and that was £20.00. So instead of spliting it between us we decided to put it on the Euro and the Lotto - so fingers crossed.

TODAY I havent done anything major, apart from trying to sort my craft stuff out. I have too many bags of ribbon, that I really need to find better storage for. My only problem is that I dont have a craft space of my own - the dining room table is where it all happens - that at the moment I have stash in my sideboard, under my stairs and in my bedroom (oh I dream of my own space). Most of my magazines are stored away in boxes under the stairs which means having to pull everything out just to look at them, my precious papers are stored in NEW pizza style boxes, my bits and bobs like flowers, inks, eyelets, brads etc are all stored in a draw. So when it comes to making anything it looks like a bomb site in my dining room.

So i am going to get off and finish tidying up before I get the kids. SO HAPPY CRAFTING EVERYONE - maybe have something to show you later x

NOTHING TO SHOW

I havent done any card making since Tuesday -just been busy with other stuff.

I have done my ironing this morning and cleaned upstairs and got the dinner ready for the kids coming in from school, because I dont want to feel guilty later as I AM GOING OUT TONIGHT to Gala bingo (jumping for joy, cant you tell I dont get out much). But I am happy as its a night out with my friends. So fingers crossed I at least win something.

Don't know what the weather is like from where you are, but it is soooo cold here and very very windy. We had hail stones and rain this morning, but the sun is shining now, for how much longer I dont know. I will have to brave the weather and go get my youngest from school at 3pm - lucky for me its only round the corner.

So I will sign off and hopefully be back on tomorrow to let you know if i won the JACKPOT - doubt it very much!
